First of all, thank you to everyone who has shared my website with friends so they can sign up for my newsletter and get a free book. It makes a huge difference to an author just starting out like me!
Second, I’m curious about your favorite apocalypse stories. (I have a hard time choosing a favorite, though as a doctor, I’m partial to plagues.)
In the Combat World society, the scarcity of people after the apocalypse, generations ago, led to the practice of champions fighting in single combat to resolve disputes. Now, it’s built into their society.
To create a richer reading experience, I’m fleshing out the apocalypse details and plan on putting short excerpts at the beginning of chapters. You know — like a quote from a historian or the journals of a city founder.
